This is a pretty simple military-hero scene from the first Iron Man movie. We wanted to stay underneath the dialogue but build up to the General’s decision as to whether he would allow the Colonel to go looking for his friend or not. We used muted horns to give the sound that you associate with military funerals at the beginning and later bring in the strings to give a more cinematic swell of emotion. A pause and on the transfer order being granted, we go to a powerful military snare and strings giving the sense that the adventure’s about the begin. Danger ahead but brave and ready for it!
